The journey began during our twentieth wedding anniversary trip, when we fulfilled a dream of traveling on the Orient Express. As we chatted with fellow travelers on a train through Malaysia, we told them about our new store in St. Helena, California, and our mission to fill it with unique and beautifully-made lines from all over the world. They shared that they were friends of the founder of the elegant Osprey London brand, and connected us as soon as they could.

The founder, Graeme Ellisdon, is a visionary who launched the business in 1980 with just £500, a workshop in his attic, and a passion for creating exceptional leather goods. From the very beginning, Graeme focused on creating timeless, quality-driven pieces. The brand's philosophy is rooted in traditional British craftsmanship combined with an unexpected twist—a playful lining or a vibrant color—that reflects a modern and adventurous spirit.
